Cancellation & Refund Policy

We aim to be as flexible as possible. Cancellation conditions depend on the type of service booked and on the policy of the underlying supplier (hotel, cruise, airline).

Day tours

Day tours can be cancelled free of charge up to the confirmation deadline agreed in your voucher (usually 24 hours before pick-up). After that deadline the tour is treated as confirmed and the full amount becomes due.

Multi-day packages

Cancellation fees on packages follow the conditions of the underlying suppliers (hotels, cruise operators, domestic airlines). As a guideline:

  • More than 30 days before arrival: full refund minus an administrative fee of €50 per booking.
  • 15–30 days before arrival: 50% of the package price retained.
  • 7–14 days before arrival: 75% of the package price retained.
  • Less than 7 days or no-show: 100% of the package price retained.

Hotels

Hotel cancellations are subject to each hotel's individual policy as stated on your confirmation. Many hotels apply non-refundable conditions during peak season (Christmas, New Year, Easter, Egyptian holidays).

Nile cruises

Nile cruise cancellations follow the operator's policy. Typically, cancellations made more than 45 days before departure are refunded minus a 15% administration fee; cancellations made within 7 days are non-refundable.

Refund timing

Approved refunds are issued via the original payment method. Bank transfers are processed within 7–14 working days. Card refunds (once available) typically appear within 5–10 working days, depending on your issuing bank.

Force majeure

If a service is cancelled by us due to force majeure (see Terms & Conditions §7), we will offer a credit voucher valid for 24 months or — where supplier conditions allow — a partial refund.

How to cancel

Cancellation requests must be sent in writing to info@egygotravel.com. The booking reference must be quoted. The effective cancellation date is the date we receive the written request.
