We had an absolutely wonderful experience with EGT Travel visiting Dahshur, and I can’t recommend them highly enough! Ahmed EGT Guide was fantastic from start to finish — friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely passionate about making sure we had a great experience. He made the visit to the Bent Pyramid and Red Pyramid fascinating, sharing interesting historical details while also giving us plenty of time to explore and enjoy the incredible surroundings. Our driver was also excellent — punctual, safe, courteous, and very helpful throughout the trip. Having such a reliable and comfortable driver made the whole experience completely stress-free. Everything was completely seamless from start to finish. The EGT Luxury Travel team was extremely helpful and made the whole experience so much easier for us, especially since we don’t speak the local language. They took care of everything, so we didn’t have to worry about any of the details and could simply relax and enjoy our trip. Their instructions were always very clear, and we always knew exactly where to go, what to expect, and what was happening next. The private vans used for our transfers were clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with plenty of room for all of us and our luggage. Pickups were well organized and everything ran smoothly. Traveling in a country where you don’t speak the language can sometimes feel overwhelming, but having their team taking care of us made a huge difference. Our EGT Luxury Travel guide, Ahmed, met us at Luxor Airport and took us directly to Karnak Temple. Everything was perfectly organized from the moment we arrived in Luxor, making the whole experience easy and stress-free. Karnak Temple is absolutely magnificent and full of fascinating history. Ahmed explained everything in great detail, answered all our questions, and made the history come alive. He was very knowledgeable and also took some amazing photos of us throughout the visit. We have been extremely happy with EGT Luxury Travel. Everything was arranged exactly as promised, communication with Mohamed has been excellent, and we have felt very well taken care of throughout our trip. 4 night Nile cruise

The Nile cruise experience has been great! The rooms are very comfortable with large windows which let you enjoy the view towards the Nile river. The food is good and they have experiences everyday. The staff is friendly. Although there were issues with the previous cruises we chose, Mohammed helped us find the perfect cruise that met all of our preferences and criteria

Outstanding private tour

Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and the whole day was perfectly organised. We saw the pyramids early, avoided the crowds and the vehicle was spotless. Highly recommended for families.

Tombs of the greats

Our EGT Luxury Travel guide, Ahmed (Gabri), and our driver took us to the Valley of the Kings, where Ahmed gave us a great overall explanation before taking us to visit three tombs. We also purchased the additional ticket for Tutankhamun’s tomb, which was definitely worth it. Then we went to the Temple of Hatshepsut, where he explained everything to us and afterwards gave us plenty of free time to explore and enjoy the site at our own pace. Everything has been very well organized by EGT Luxury Travel from the beginning. Everything they promised us has been delivered exactly as agreed, and in some aspects the experience has been even better than we expected. We really appreciate the attention, organization, and care they have shown us throughout our trip. A special thank you to Mohamed and the entire EGT Luxury Travel team for taking such good care of us and making sure everything runs smoothly. We feel very well looked after and can simply relax and enjoy Egypt without having to worry about the details. Highly recommended!

How to Experience Khan-el-Kahili Market

We asked EGT Luxury Travel to arrange a tour of the market, not for shopping but to explore the history. EGT Luxury travel respected my decision to separate shopping trips from touring. That can’t be said of many other tour companies, where they make shopping the main event. We were guided through the market by EGT Travel tour guide Radwah, or Rudy if you prefer. She is a certified Egyptologist, well educated, curious, attentive and fun. She has the perfect temperament for a guide. She easily explains the history of what you are seeing and patiently and clearly answers your questions. Radwah gave us a tour of the many historic sites in the market. We explored churches, mosques, and a synagogue. But there was so much more. She pointed out the function of buildings, school , hospital, etc. She answered our many questions with clarity. We learned so much. Radwah was attentive to our needs. She kept the pace of the walk to our pace, adjusting for my bad knee and our struggles either the high heat. We did want to purchase a copper coffee pot. We searched Copper Alley. She helped us to identify the quality pots and helped us negotiate a fair price. We chose the shop. She did not get commission from the sale, as most guides do. She was fine with this. Many of the guides expect you to shop where they suggest because they are looking for that commission. Not Radwah. (As an aside, we had a guide with another company who actually gave us the commission back, saying it should not be his to keep. Wow) Radwah was very patient. I love to take photos of often overlooked architectural details, including doors, windows, gates, lamps, etc. Radwah soon learned I was not going to pass by these things and she patiently waited for me, even though it meant a slower pace for the tour. Radwah is a knowledgeable, thoughtful, and caring guide. She is well supported by her tour company, EGT Luxury Travel. They are the best. I had arranged a tour with them for later in the week. At the last minute, I decided we need a guide for the market the next day as I was feeling a bit overwhelmed when we first arrived in Cairo. EGT Luxury travel arranged this at the last minute. The cost of the tour was reasonable. I was a bit afraid to get a quote because of the words luxury and private. I was afraid it would be too expensive. It was, in fact, very reasonable. Yes, there are cheaper ways to tour. But then you are one in a pack of people. You can’t hear the guide. You can’t get close enough to the guide to ask questions and certainly not hundreds of questions like we do when exploring a culture entirely new to us. And you are not being herded into shops that you have no interest. To be fair, we did shop. But we did it on our last day in Cairo. We enjoyed some time focusing on shopping because we didn’t resent the shopping encroaching on our touring time. We really felt as EGT was our personal concierge to all things Cairo. Booking with them gave us the tours we wanted AND the comfort of knowing we had a team to support us while visiting Cairo. Can’t recommend EGT Luxury Travel enough.

Makes You Feel Like You Have a Friend in Cairo

We were guided through temples, pyramids, and history by EGT Tour guide Radwah, or Rudy if you prefer. She is a certified Egyptologist, well educated, curious, attentive and fun. She has the perfect temperament for a guide. She easily explains the history of what you are seeing and patiently and clearly answers your questions. She is attentive to your needs, making sure we had water, food, rest, and shade, when needed. She doesn’t try to be a comedian. Rather she is herself, a knowledgeable, thoughtful, and caring guide. She is well supported by her tour company, EGT Luxury Travel. Prior to the tour, we advised EGT of what we did and did not want to see. We wanted to tour, not shop. As we asked, we weren’t subjected to the tourist shopping spots. Radwah helped us run the gauntlet of stalls outside the sphinx of Giza and taught us a word that meant no thank you that most shop keepers respected and left us alone. I mentioned to EGT Luxury Travel we needed to return by a certain time to refresh and rest as we were planning to go into old Cairo to stand in line to get tickets to see a traditional dance troupe. EGT volunteered to try and get the tickets in advance, and have Radwah and our driver accompany us. They were successful. Yes, we paid for this added service. But Cairo on a Friday night can be quite an adventure but because of the care and service we were provided, we felt safe. We really felt as EGT was our personal concierge to all things Cairo. Booking with them gave us the tours we wanted AND the comfort of knowing we had a team to support us while visiting Cairo. Can’t recommend EGT Luxury Travel enough.
