A horseshoe reef where a resident pod of spinner dolphins rests by day — Egypt's most reliable spot to snorkel respectfully alongside wild dolphins.

Giftun Islands marine park

Use only reef-safe (oxybenzone-free) sunscreen — it's required by Egyptian marine park regulations.
Sea conditions on the boats are gentle, but mild seasickness pills can help on choppy winter days.
Marine park fees (around €8) are sometimes paid in cash at the port — your guide will advise.
Don't touch the reef or wildlife; admire from a distance and let the fish come to you.

Tour operates with a maximum of 25 guests per boat (snorkel trips).
